Steadfast

My prayer is that I remain steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the LORD.

Sometimes I become over anxious about my husband. Let me explain. My husband does everything. He works everyday. He works at home doing everything. He makes sure I have an allowance. (I am a retired teacher). He is not personable with me as I would like. He seems to do things for me out of obligation. I am very grateful for what he does. He is very excellent in all ways. But I would rather have his touch and his love in lieu of all the things he does. I have not said this because I feel ungrateful if I do. He is such a smart man and such a beautiful man. So I am asking that you pray that we will have more wisdom of disernment toward one another's love language. I thank you for giving me this opportunity to open this up.

My prayer for others:
Heavenly Father,
I pray that all of us know that you made the greatest sacrifice of all by sending Your Son Jesus to walk among us. I pray that all of us understand that You did this because You love us. I pray that we realize that Jesus laid down His life that we may be able to live in peace through Him. "My peace I leave with you" is what he said. I pray that we believe the words that came from Jesus' mouth and that not only that we believe them Dear LORD, but that we believe Him enough to learn as much of Your Word as possible. Let us learn and bury so much of Your Word in us that our spirits will grow much more than our fleshly bodies so that we may "do the purpose of God in our own generation." Heavenly Father we repent from our selfish ways and we will treat everyone we come into contact with as our dearly beloved brother and sister in Christ. We can win souls if we do what you told us in Your Word to do. "Go into all the world and preach the gospel." Where we are we must preach it and tell of it so that it will spread from us to others to more people and thereby all over the world. Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who tresspass against us. We are so in need of wisdom. We ask for it just like you told us to. "If we lack wisdom, we should ask of You and You will give it librally." We accept Your wisdom oh God, and we welcome in the new 2010 year with better attitudes toward serving You and better attitudes toward our brothers and sisters you gave us to love. Thank you Heavenly Father for the opportunity to speak with You, the Creator of this Universe. We are so grateful for everything you give us and for everything you gave to us. Thank you again. Amen

Shirley, it is time for you to tell your husband the truth, perhaps he is waiting for you to say it?
Obviously he loves you, do you treat him the way that you would prefer he treat you, with affection?
